Types of assessments

  • An ADHD assessment is a comprehensive evaluation conducted by our highly trained psychologists to diagnose Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder. It involves clinical interviews, behavioural observations, and psychological testing to assess symptoms such as inattention, impulsivity, and hyperactivity, aiding in the development of personalised treatment plans.

  • An Intellectual Functioning Assessment is a comprehensive evaluation that measures an individual's cognitive abilities, including reasoning, problem-solving, memory, and language skills. It helps clinicians and educators understand a person's intellectual strengths and limitations, aiding in the development of tailored support and educational plans.

  • An ASD assessment is a thorough evaluation that aims to diagnose Autism Spectrum Disorder by assessing an individual's social communication skills, repetitive behaviors, and sensory sensitivities. This assessment typically involves clinical interviews, observations, and standardized assessments to guide treatment and support planning for those with ASD.

  • Specific Learning Disorder

A specific learning disorder assessment is a comprehensive evaluation conducted by clinical professionals to identify and diagnose difficulties in a person's ability to acquire and use academic skills, such as reading, writing, or mathematics. This assessment helps determine the nature and severity of the learning disorder, guiding the development of tailored interventions and support strategies to address the individual's unique learning challenges.

  • A Combined ADHD & ASD Assessment is a specialised evaluation that examines the presence of both Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) and Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) in an individual. It aims to identify and understand the co-occurrence of these neurodevelopmental conditions, helping us better understand an individual's strengths and areas where they might face challenges, which in turn guides us in creating personalised intervention plans.

  • A Combined ADHD and SLD Assessment is a specialised evaluation that examines the presence of both Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder and Specific Learning Disorder in an individual. This enables us to gain deeper insights into an individual's strengths and pinpoint areas where challenges may arise, ultimately assisting us in devising intervention plans customised to their needs.

“A formal assessment can validate our experiences and challenges, reminding us that our unique traits and behaviours are not personal shortcomings but part of our individual journey.”
